Well, here it is installed.  Wow.  It's so nice to see our hard work turn out so well! 
We still have all the trim/moulding to do, install the TV and DVD and little piddly stuff.  Then we're done with re-modeling the LQ!

Looks really nice Dawnya. Curious to what you used for your base?

I actually got my 12v hooked up this weekedn so let the wiring commence.

I used 3/4 inch ply under the tiles on my kitchen counter. It's holding up well so far.

Me too.  3/4 ply.  We used 'cove' adhesive to attach the tiles before grout.
