A trailer of that age, as a potential buy I would be interested in knowing what kind of maintenance and how often and recently it has been maintained (brakes, bearings, replacement tires, etc.), the condition of the floor and paint, and how long you have owned it. As far as setting a price, this site includes sold ads and you might find something comparable in the trailers for sale section.

thank you sooo much. I have had this trailer for 4-5 years, I have recently replaced the tires, and the brakes are regularly tested. My father is a freak and tests them every time we go out, Its safe though. ummmm, i think the bearings were just repacked about 2 months ago. Paint has a few rust spots, and the floor mats were brand new when i bought the trailor. I want to look at the floor boards, however, because i know nothing about them. mmmmmm, it has a cool hay rack on the top!! haha.

Again, thanks for helping me out.

You might also mention in your ad whether the trailer has been stored under cover or not. And be prepared with lots of digital pictures - inside horse area, tack area, all four sides of trailer, etc. The more information you have in the ad the more likely you are to get inquiries.

My parents bought a 1959 Miley Aluminun in 1973.  I'll never forget, they paid $500 for it and thought it cost a fortune.  They sold it several years later to an old friend.  He still had it in 1992 and my husband and I bought it back for $750.  New floor, tires, brakes, hitch, paint, stone guards, wiring.  Pretty much worked the whole thing over.  I sold it I guess finally for good in 1997 for $1,500.  I miss that old "Beast".  Sure pulled nice.

I agree that Miley trailers were good.  Too bad that Rex Cauble decided to spend more time in distributing marijuana than building trailers and minding the Cutter Bill's Western Stores.  It's sad to see the trailer mfg plant still boarded up and the Cauble Ranch in ruins after the Feds seized the properties.  You would think that they could at least sell to someone else to reutilize the properties.
