I have a 99 sundowner with central heat and air. It has a wall thermostat. I tried to turn it on this year and nothing happened. The wall thermostat lights up with functions but air doesn't come on. How do I trouble shoot the problem? Does that automatically mean my air conditioner is bad or something with the wall turn on. It doesn't even try to kick on???ont-family:Arial; font-size:12px; color:#000000">

The thermostat itself runs off of 12V (batteries/converter). The rooftop unit is powered by the 110V shore power cord. It sounds like your 110 isn't hot. Is your microwave working? Follow the cord for a good connection, and then check breakers (in the nose of the trailer) and maybe even the breaker that powers the plug the trailer is actually plugged into.

If the roof unit buzzes, but doesn't run that's another problem. Sitting can allow mouse nests, and other things to need a good cleaning and lubing up top. Dirt dobbers are famous in there too.

In my life, there was only one camper with a normal thermostat. I give the following parameters: the operating temperature of 215.6 °F, the heating time - 3 minutes, + two traffic lights, and you can turn the heater at maximum. Then at the maximal heater, there is no engine cooling, and it is -30 outside. The air from the air ducts directly burns. In 5-7 minutes of driving, I turn off the top air blowers. Only legs are enough. All the rest is heated by flows from below. And it can also happen that aircon pipe leaking. Measured the interior on the move with temperature sensors. Even in the spare (second luggage compartment) is the same temperature as the driver.

I have a question, how often did you fill-up the air conditioner?

Fill up with what? If you are speaking of refrigerant it only needs to be filled if it has a leak and filling it up is almost pointless unless you fix the leak because it will leak out again. The refrigerant never goes bad.

I have a question, how often did you fill-up the air conditioner? Even the properly working conditioner of a new car should be checked once in 2-3 years. For a vehicle more than six years old, a check-up should be annual because, with the lapse of time, the gaskets of joints are worn out, and there are microcracks on pipes. There are several kinds of freon, depending on the year of automobile release. As a rule, there is a sticker somewhere under the hood that informs about the type of refrigerant. The refrigerant oil is renewed along with the freon. In general, in any case, if you don't know anything about it, it's worth taking your air conditioner to a master.

If your wall thermostat does not work, please refer to the instruction manual to find out how to turn on your thermostat and check if it is connected correctly. Also, maybe it needs service or a freon change? My air conditioner in the shop had this exact problem, and I couldn't work without it, so I called ac repair st pete. I can advise you not to delay with the repair, it may be a small problem, but solving it yourself you will lose a lot of time. That's why I prefer to entrust it to a professional.
