It is nice to be able to run the fridge on propane in my opinion. One of my trailers I have a small electric ( house style ) refrigerator in and it works well.
A house style refrigerator uses refrigerant and a compressor, RV style refrigerators work off of absorption ( no compressor ) they use the heat generated from the electric device or propane to heat and move the refrigerant.
It is vital for the absorbtion fridge to be level for it to work. Are you keeping it level at all times while parked?
