Looking for a spot in Western Nebraska -  Horse friendly campground to stay overnight.  Will be travelling along I 80  from NE Kansas to Broken Arrow Campground in SW South Dakota.  Thanks for any help.

I would highly recommend Ft Robinson State Park in North West Nebraska.

Another place to consider is the cherry county fairgrounds in valentine Nebraska .They have hookups for your trailer. If you make the time there is areas along the Niobara River to ride

Ft. Rob is a great place to stay.  You can ride the bluffs, pastures etc..  We prefer to keep our horses in the Mare Barns on the west edge of the fort as there is a RV campground right across the lane where you can park your trailer.  If you stall down in the brick barns you can not stay in that parking area to sleep.  If you plan to stay in your trailer you have to put it in a campground that is about 1/4 to 1/2 mile away.
The fort has a nice dining room, museum and other attractions Memorial Day thru Labor Day.  There is also an arena up by the Mare Barns where you can turn your horses out.
