I've seen people put window unit air conditioners in horse trailers. I'm wondering how they hold up to the vibration of road travel? Any tips for going this route or for minimizing the wear and tear? TIA~

I've seen these in many trailers, one huge plus to these units. You can't tear them off if you drive under something too low, and they don't leak like the roof units.
