I have a 2001 Sundowner that was serviced 3 months ago and pulled by a Silverado 2500HD with no power issues. I have a new 2016 F350 DRW... the exterior lights (Brake, Running) work, but the inside lights for LQ and stall area will only come on if you turn them on and off for a few time...then they may or may not stay on. Does ford have something different then chevy and Tundru-that I used to test light and work. Ford dealer said there is nothing wrong with the F350 plug. Any suggestions.

sounds to me that you have a ground problem, this might help to try but take a set of jumper cables if you have them and hook it to the truck and also the trailer and see if that helps.

The Ford battery power pin in the 7 pin is only hot with the key in the run position.

Shouldn't have anything to do with the truck. Those lights should operate with the house battery. Clean all battery connections including the ground to trailer frame. Switches could be giving out as well
