I just purchased a new Cimarron WB 2hrs trailer and ABSOLUTELY love it….one small thing….the folding aluminum step leading to the tack area sometimes pops down when driving across uneven ground. It has a factory installed rubber 'plunger' - type latch right now. I'm considering installing a latch from the side of the step to the tongue. Anyone ever done this? I found a latch on-line that swivels so thought that perhaps was my best choice to accommodate the area I'm looking to install it. I have contacted Cimarron - just waiting for a response/solution. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I would make sure the socket is tight. Sometimes, you can tighten up the bolt holding it on and that will make it tighter on the plunger.

If that doesn't or can't work, they are easy to replace.

Good luck!
