Hi everyone! I'm new here!So tonight I noticed that one one of the break lights on my trailer there are two small lights on. My trailer is not hooked up to my truck. Anyone know what's going on?

Is your trailer hooked up to your truck, or the emergency brake lanyard pulled?
Try unplugging the trailer's plug or resetting the emergency switch to extinguish the lights.
The same bulbs are also controlled by the signal indicators. You obviously have some wiring issues, which are not difficult to sort out. The first thing you want to do is eliminate the problem so the batteries are not depleted. Pulling the plug and resetting the switch will do that. The rest can be done at leisure during the daylight.

Just guessing....sounds like someone has fooled with the wiring. If the trailer is unplugged, the only source of electricity is the house battery or break-away battery...neither of which should be connected to the brake lights. Is this a new to you trailer and what kind...bp....lq.?

This is her mom...no its not hooked up...been sitting for a week...its is only 2 liitle lights in one of the led brake light...not a new trailer ..had it for 5 years..thought maybe water in the end of the plug...blew in it...lights went out for a little bit and then flickered ...it stayed on all that night..hadnt came back on for 2 days but a liitle worried cause she has to haul tomorrow by herself...hooked up the lights everything was working fine...also ready to go to world in georgia in 5 weeks and its a 9 hour drive...do have an appt for it wednesday if need be

Hi Mom.....could have been moisture in the plug but more likely is a loose wire inside the plug itself.. Sometime people install plugs and don't get all the wires under the screw, leaving some small wire to occasionally touch another terminal. I would open plug and check that all wires are firmly seated where they should be. Easy job.

Confirm the breakaway battery still has juice...by pulling pin and trying to drive forward...
