Subject: holding tanks only 8 inches above ground

I'm looking at a used trailer to buy. the holding tanks seem too close tothe ground. does anyone have knowledge of lakota trailers having problems bottoming out the holding tanks??? thanks

8 inches seems for me a little low, specially when you go camping somewhere offroad.

I checked our holding tanks from our Kiefer Freedom 3, they are 15.5 inches from the ground.

A friend with her Lakota has whacked them a few times. Crawl under to see if you can see scrape marks on tanks or brackets. Some trailers are so low you have to be careful going in some driveways. You can block the axles to raise the trailer some. Also some have made skid plates to protect the tanks

Ours are 13" at the lowest point.Tanks havent been scraped,but the bayonette valve handle is broke!
