Hi All,I had a LQ trailer with a slide built and we have it home now only to discover there is a problem with the heat. So far what we can tell is the heating ducks under the floor are crushed. My question is;Has anyone had this problem and if so how can you fix it without ripping everything out to get under the floor? We hate to send the trailer back as we live really far from headquarters. So much for quality control, we haven't used the trailer yet and already have a big issue. Very disappointed in Lakota right now this is something that should never had happened. Any information anyone may have will be greatly appreciate.Thank youWalk4me

Walk4me, I am a Lakota dealer and can guarantee you the problem will be handled for you, most likely locally, and to your satisfaction, if it is a legit warranty defect. Lakota is second to none when it comes to customer satisfaction. Have you talked to your dealer, or AJ @ Lakota, or anyone at Lakota about this? If you were anywhere near my store I would send a truck after it & fix instantly. Please let us all know what Lakota has said or does say re fixing it for you. Thanks Don - We haven't talked to AJ about this yet as we just discovered it this morning. We will contact her Monday morning. How long do you think this would take to correct?

Kind of off topic- but Don- WOW, just WOW. I would drive from PA to buy a trailer from you and this is not the first time I've seen you respond to a trailer owner with a problem like this! I have thought customer service was long dead and Don and Dixie Horse and Mule Company renew my faith in mankind!

Walk4me, it can likely be repaired in one day, and I'm sure locally, depending on what they actually find! Once you talk to AJ you'll rest easier! She is the best! CUTTER, thanks so much for the kind words! Customer service is alive & well @ DHMCO! We all here truly appreciate the opportunity our customers have given us, and we'll not break that trust. Lakota is great for customer service. I scraped the side of our slide out on a gate I had to pull through last summer. I took it back to Lakota for the repairs. They went over the entire trailer while in and tweaked areas and covered it all under warrantee. The slam latches used to be metal and it was eroding the patricians where the connected with the slam latch. The new trailers had a composite slam latch that doesn't erode or damage the divider. They just changed them for us while it was in. Great people to work with.

Hello youWalk4me,

I am a Lakota dealer, and this certainly cannot be the slide problem: the flush-floor slide-out mechanism does not have any movable parts in between the floors, so simply cannot crush the heater parts. Having been to the Lakota plant numerous times, I would be happy to send you pictures of the slide construction mechanism to show you how the slide out works. Have you had your trailer in to get the heater checked out? It may be as simply as the end of the heating hose having popped off the vent outlet. Lakota is outstanding on taking care of their warranty issues, and this can be resolved for you, I am sure. Is your dealer able to help you? If not, please feel free to contact me, and I would be happy to assist you in any way I can. We have sold hundreds of Lakota trailers, and have yet to have even one slide-out problem with our customers. My website is www.vantagetrailers.ca

Good morning EVH,Thank you for you're offer to help, but our trailer was picked up by our dealer and is on it's way back to Lakota as I type this. I am very happy with Lakota's customer service and the trailer itself. I'm confident the problem will be solved and corrected.Just so you know the problem were having as nothing to do with the slide.
