We need to replace our current water heater in our living quarters with a smaller one. The guy doing the work said we could go with a traditional 2.5 gal water heater or an inline water heater. Which would be the best way to go? We need hot water for our sink & shower. Thanks

I don't think you'd be happy with the amount of water you would get out of 2.5 gallon water heater for showers. You are going smaller because of space?

Traditionally the smaller water heater is 6 gallons. That is what we have. I would not want to go smaller than that. What type of inline heater are you talking about. The electric ones take a lot of amps. Is it propane?

we were going small due to space. Our trailer currently had a dinette that is being taken out to put a couch in. The dealer suggested a small water heater as the 6 gal one is too tall causing the couch to sit higher in the air than it should.
