Hi,  I have a Silverado 1500 and a 3 horse gooseneck (yeah I know it would be nice if truck was larger).  Problem is jerky ride.  I have search internet and find myriad of reason for this.  I also have found several hitch upgrades Star Performance, Popup LLC2, Shocker Hitch, etc.  Question is what to buy if any?  Prices start at $500 and go up!  Don't want to spend that knind of money and find no benefits!!  can anyone advise?  Thanks

I have concluded the jerk I experience is spring wrap. I installed Air Lift air bags and it made some improvement. I also use a Cody Cushion manufactured by Cody Hitch. It has helped relieve more of the bounce. There are road condition where I still get the bounce. Jg

If road is smooth and you maintain speed ride is smooth.  If you encounter bumps you can feel truck jerk 3-4 times before it settles back down.  Sometimes also get that jerk when starting up from stop.  One response suggested raising hitch 2 inches.  I will try that, but if I need to buy some kind of shock absorbing hitch I would like to hear what works best.  My horse deserves as smooth a ride as economically possible.  She's a good girl!!!
