What can I expect to pay to transport a trailer from Texas to Montana ?  1725miles.

Any transport companies stand out from the rest as really deserving the business?

Are you buying the trailer from a dealer? If so who do they recommend?

I noticed three companies who have placed ads on this web site. Go to the home page >trailer companies>trailer delivery

In 2009 we had a new trailer transported from Pennsylvania to NE Texas. A little over 1500 miles I think. It cost us $1500. We had the dealer contract the hauler but have found it would of been alot cheaper to contract it ourselves.

Fuel prices are a bit higher in 2013 than in 2009... http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=EMD_EPD2D...

Yes they are, and my point actually was that the hauler told us we could of had it done cheaper if we had of contracted him ourselves rather than letting the dealership be a middle man.

Not really hard to figure. If you have someone in business perform a service for you they will expect to be compensated. They may bury it so you don't know it but it's there somewhere. So naturally if you cut out a layer of "handling" the price will be less.

Not to mention if something had gone wrong- you'd expect them to help. That costs $$.
