Hello all,I am the proud owner of a new 2011 Double d safetack trailer. I LOVE MY TRAILER!if you buy one you will know trailer-love. Unfortunately I bought it before the "finished dressing room" was a standard feature. Before our much anticipated trip to SD my better half and I have taken upon ourselves to finish to dressing room ourselves. We have put up sheets of flatstock steel over the insulated wall. The problem we are having is the "tin-y" sound when the walls are bumped. We have thought about putting adhesive cork floor underlayment to stop the vibrating. Has anyone dealt with this or have any suggestions?thanks.

Why did you use steel over the insulation? It would help dramatically to put decorative plywood sheets instead of the steel. Looks attractive and isn't tinny sounding. Years ago we had a Southern Classic trailer with unfinished dressing room. We put up insulation with plywood sheets over top. We did it on the ceiling and the walls. The flooring we put indoor/outdoor carpeting on.

We finished the DR of a trailer this summer. We did it with insulation and then thin plywood over that. The plywood was covered with a material that looked like engraved leather with a faux suede finish. The ceiling was covered with the same plywood and a vinyl fabric. It came out beautiful and functions very well...no sound and stays warm or cool.
