Hello ! I am new here ! Just found this site...my new addiction I guess ! We just bought a 2005 4horse slant with 4 foot LQ's at Congress ! Yeee ha! L.Q's are the bare shell and is ready to be insulated and hubby has promised us to add some cabinets and electrical etc. My question is if we put wood panels up isnt there a chance that they can warp over time ...I have seen some bad panelling jobs in house basements over the years. Whats your opinion?...thank you ! Jennifer and does anyone know of a site that has the faux tin panels?

First off, WELCOME!Next, when you add the insulation to the trailer, use battens or 1x2 boards to set the panels off of the aluminum or steel in the ribs. This will help keep condensation to a minimum. When hanging the cabinets, also you must put them up soundly, and vibration proof, as the movement down the road may shake them enough to dislodge from poorly placed and insufficient anchors. Do the electrical wiring as soon as you have put the wood battens or 1x2's on the ribs of the walls. It is like building a house, you must make a good foundation before you build the walls. Mark and install junction boxes or mark the spots that the electrical and plumbing must come through the paneling, as trying to find the exact spot id a very mesy and not very fruitful endevour. You can always contact a LQ conversion company like Outlaw to see how much it would cost to put an interior in it. Shouldnt be too much for that shortwall

Thank you for the helpful replies , I have been reading the past threads ..slowly....and came across someone that suggested to paint the back of the panels first ? He would most likely put it over the insulation and straping etc......has anyone tried this with good results ...that live in a hot and cold climate...hee hee hee! ?Merci
