I am looking into buying a trailer, not on here, its a 92 featherlite, 4 horse, 12 ft short wall. They want $16,000. For it, ours got a few dings, bit a few improvements too is that too much to pay?
Thanks all...

what you need to do is look around and see what other trailer are going for that are in the same shape as yours that will give you a starting point

Well, when I was searching for a used LQ I could never find one for less than 20 grand so, unless the trailer you are talking about is a total POS, it sounds like a good deal to me.

FRP?

Fiberglass Reinforced Plywood. Fiberglass sheets with plywood sandwiched in between for strength. Some trailer mfg.'s used this material for their trailer walls. It's really strong but has a tendacy to rot between the fiberglass sheets if water leaks into the plywood area. (Specially underneath windows). It will look OK on the outside but it would be hollow and rotten in the middle. I think some older Sooner's and some Featherlite trailers ured FRP.

The FRP Featherlites would generally have a logo on them "Touch of Class". Sooner called theirs "Dynasty". Either way, not generally great in the resale value department for the reasons listed above.
