I was there before the tornado. Nice place, good stalls for the horses. Rick & Jill take good care of their guests.

It is even better since the tornado and rebuild! Nice all the way around, facilities, the owners are wonderful and lots of trails! We visited them like 3 times last year and it is now a regular spot on our list!

Camped there  last falland honestly I wouldn't go back.  the stalls were small-  about about 8 x 8 ft.  hook ups were OK but very close together.  We'd never been there before, so obviously didn't know the trails- were told they'd have maps but when we got there they didn't.

The trails were nice tho, and there seemed to be a good variety of them.

I live fairly close to Elkins Creek Horse Camp but from my understanding there is a $12 per day or $24 for 3 day bridle tag fee if you ride into Wayne National Forest. To those of you who have ridden at Elkins, how much riding is there out of their place or do you purchase bridle tags also.  That price seem extremely steep to ride into Wayne National Forest.
