My husband installed the ATWOOD Duraleg Electric jack that I ordered from www.easternmarine.com a few days ago. It was right at $700 including shipping. You replace your entire existing jack. The jack comes with a steel U-bracket to attached to your trailer. This would not work for my configuration so we went to home depot and got some 3" wide 1/2" steel bars, drill holes to match the mounting bolt holes from my old jack on the trailer, and the mounting bolt holes on the new jack and that worked out fine. It does not come with trailer mounting bolts, but we were able to use the ones from the original jack and the included U-bracket. The installation of the switch was simple and with 10K of lift, it handles my 2008 4-Star 2 horse w/ weekender just fine. I wish it was a little faster, but it sure is better than cranking. It does have a manual over-ride, but I hope I never have to use it. :-) During the install I checked the water in the batteries and it was getting pretty low. Might be a good idea to check your battery water level with this heat we've been experiencing.
