Sorry I hit that post too soon. I am thinking of where to place my fridge and hot water heater. Is either one of these ok to place next to my fuse box and electrical that comes in the wall? The electric is in front corner of the long wall and then there is space for fridge and then hot water heater which would be under the sink and then a closet in the slant wall corner. I only have a 5' short wall so these things would be pretty much side by side. Is this safe? Oh, the city water would be located where the hot water heater is under the sink. Thank you.

I think as long you elevate the box off the floor some so that if there was a leak water wouldn't enter the box you'll be fine. My previous trailer had the electric panel next the water heater with a small 2x2 supporting the panel off the floor, plus this gives the panel air flow on all sides.

Does a panel require much air flow? I just had one installed in my bulkhead wall next to the entrance door. A little unsighly, so I built a wooden box to place over the panel. It looks better, and keeps me from bumping the panel as I enter and exit. The box has about 1" interior clearance all the way around (in other words, the interior dimensions of the box are 2" wider and 2" taller than the electrical panel) but is solid. If I need to, I can drill vent holes in the top and sides. Is that necessary?

Air flow.. Depends on if this panel is also the battery charger like my previous and current trailer. I guess I should have specified that. If it's a combo battery charger breaker panel, then yes, it needs air flow. If it's just a breaker panel similar to your house, then no need for air flow.
