Didn't read all the comments, but I had a like system. After several boast fuel pumps in a few years, I put an in line filter just before the pump (between it and the fuel tank) and that solved the problem--never had to replace boast pump again.

Still working on this...thanks for the tips regarding fuel and the stab-il-izers. Actually placing a filter prior to the pump makes a lot of sense. I purchased the replacement pump from napa, looks just like the photo from DLM-10, but it's a Carter not a Delphi. However, it seems to be designed for 3/8" fuel lines, and I have 1/4". I realize I could use the little hose ends they include, and then add some adapters to connect it to my existing lines, but it sure seems like I'm asking for more problems by doing that....Monday, I'm going to try to get my hands on a Cummins pump, the one that Outlaw put in, in the first place. This is starting to feel like a soap opera... :)
