My biggest regret in buying our trailer was not getting the interior video camera that was offered to us.  Has anyone ever installed one in the horse trailer and was it hard wired or wireless?  Did you like it?

I cobbled together a wireless set up. Made the mistake of not getting a wide angle lens. Fixed that by buying another camera and replacing the one one in the horse compartment with a wide angle and putting a magnetic base on the first one to use when hooking up the trailer.

I tried a wireless unit years ago...they were pretty lame on transmission distances...especially thru trailer skins...:(...hopefully they have improved, but I now have a hardwire system...much better...:)
Here is a pretty nice system...

I already had a backup camera in my truck so I added a wide angle camera behind the stalls and ran the wires up to my main trailer connection. I then had to open up the wires on my existing backup camera and figure out which ones were the video feed, I cut them and added a disconnect so I can plug in either the backup or trailer cam. It really works great, I think it was worth the trouble.

I have cameras inside the horse compartment and on the top back of the trailer (for backing). They are hard wired to my truck thru a pigtail  type of cord that hooks the trailer to the truck very similar looking to a 8 way 12 volt plug. This feeds the picture to my Pioneer  stero with NAV. I have a switch that lets me switch between cameras. The pioneer stereo (have seen same one at Best Buy) lets me split the screen between the NAV map and a camera of my choice or camera full screen. My critters are all well broke so I usually run with the back up camera on so I can see when I have cleared a car I just passed. I switch to the interior camera every so often to see if horse or mule is eating hay or just standing. I also switch to check them after any bad bumps or quick stops. They have a similar setup at camping world that lets you buy it with or without the monitor. I am not sure if the monitor  can do the split screen thing. I highly recommend the hard wire system over the wireless. I have both. The wireless is such a poor performer , that, I rarely use it on the little rig.
