I'm one of those Exiss people who expects too much from his trailer. It's been problem free since new, but now I've encountered some serious design and material problems. And because it's an aluminum product, I just found out what a piece of JUNK it really is.

Just because of it's name, Exiss, plastered all over the trailer, I've had to endure much chagrin when parked next to the high price brands. Just because I paid less for my trailer, I still have had no excuse to gloat when the others have had problems and I haven't. But that's all changed now, and I've become one of "them".

I know that if Congress doesn't shut down the EPA, all Exisses will soon be banned from the highways. With their nasty habits of shedding metal body parts, doors, windows, roofs and even animals, the nation wide road sides are constantly being littered with their trailer remnents. By not having to remove the resulting wastes, an entire agency can be eliminated and more people can be put out of work. This will please the not only the politicians, but the Exiss competitors as well.

As I alluded to, my Exiss is JUNK. When I recently tried to haul my two Rhinoceroses, they ruined the inside slant wall and bent the stall dividers. What kind of trash is this trailer? The Rhinos only weigh two and a half tons each. !!!!! They were a little long at 13 FT, but we still managed to get them loaded. Yes, after a while they definately became upset with being bent round all the time.

When they get to jumping about, that stupid trailer goes like a Slinky down the road. My brand new new Carlisle tires sounded like bubble wrap being crushed under foot. With my normal thirteen spares strapped around the trailer, I was able to make it the four and a half miles to my vet's place.

Now I need to move my African elephants, but again because I own an Exiss, I expect it to have problems. I've heard about the "Exploding Roof Syndrome" common to this brand, and I'm afraid that the trailer won't hold up to this load. Because it's so cheaply built, I'll probably only be able to haul one pachyderm at a time. One of the critters is on the small side, only four and a half tons and 14 feet long. Big Bubba is going to be a problem though, at seven tons and 16 feet, I definately won't be able to carry my minature donkeys at the same time.

I'm going to have to get a hold of my favourite welder to fix the trailer again. Damn aluminum anyway. I'm going to have him rebuild everything with steel. If I could afford it I would use Titanium. You pay all this money for a trailer, and all you get is a piece of refuse, trash, junk, crap, debris, sewage, and litter, that is absolutely worthless. I could understand having these problems if I hadn't bought a HORSE trailer. They do carry everything, ........right?

I think if I were only hauling Bison, I wouldn't have these problems. After all, the trailers are built for thousand pound animals, and those woolly creatures are only double that weight. With a stock trailer, you can really cram a bunch into a small space. Guess I might have to down size things a bit.

Also people are complaining that they can't get ahold of me over the holidays. My last trip to Antarctica, when I was hauling my Elephant seal took longer than I expected. I turned off my cell phone and just enjoyed the moment, Sam and me, alone on the ice, watching everything melt. It truly was a bonding moment that I'll forever cherish. The phone wouldn't have worked anyway, now that the cell tower is broken and won't be fixed because of departmental cut backs.

My little Toyota 4 banger is having a hard time pulling these loads. I'm wanting to install a super chip, a new super zammy intake system, and some JC Whitney add ons to increase the power. Right now it goes like crazy down hill, and I've hooked up a drag chute to help with the stopping. It IS a little inconvenient to have to repack that thing so often. The vehicles following me are usually disrupted, whilst constantly thinking their airbags are deploying whenever it pops open. Also USRider is dismayed that I call many times a trip, being constantly asked to tow me on the up side of the hills. It is threatening to cancel my membership, if I don't take them off speed dial.

Between USRider, Exiss, Toyota and my four legged creatures, my life is a pure hell event. Guess I have to do something different for 2012.

Happy New Year

When you came on this forum years ago and asked for recommendations for a 4 horse/mid tack/LQ trailer for under $12,000 new, I answered about a similar trailer I bought for $10,000..........remember the article about the BLUE MOON trailer. I have hauled as many as 6 Mastodons at one time, I was getting 47 MPG with my converted Yugo. The Mastodons have skin 4 inches thick, and to stop I have one Mastodon put its feet on the pavement, works fine, but I have to use a different Mastodon after 4 hours of driving. I LOVE MY BLUE MOON TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!

Might be wrong, but but a couple of years ago there was a picture of an Exiss trailer posted that had slid off the road and jack knifed. Not 100% sure but I think that was your trailer. If so perhaps thats why it's JUNK.

WOW! I'm into all that wild animal hauling too. I've been wanting to get a Rhino, but I wasn't sure how they would behave. I don't blame you for wanting to gloat to all those people that bought expensive trailers, but you must have bought yours "used". A neighbor just stopped by with prices for a 2012, 4 horse, 8 wide shell from elite, platinum coach and EXISS. Guess which was highest by a wide margin. So maybe they just loose their value  faster and he just need to be the second owner.

Snickers, you're absolutely correct. You are wrong on every count.

Gard,we are so tired of our junker Exiss that, after we apply the Elastomeric roof coating, duplicolor on the flooring, and new brushed nickle bathroom fixtures this spring we will probably DONATE it.If we can find a place willing to take it that is.48

CRG, you are so lucky, and don't even know it !!!!!. Amazingly enough, we've just established a new non profit organisation, OINK ( Old Irish Naive Kissers) that specialises in the recovery and rescue of unwanted Exiss trailers. We reassemble all the various parts found roadside, give them their shots and neuter them, and find them homes to the poor souls that don't know better. Some are even personally adopted by us.

We accept all Exiss donations, and will actually pick them up at our expense. So if you're serious or know of anyone who would like to take advantage of this great service, let me know. There is a 1213 page form to fill out, a lie detector involvement to ensure your motives are pure, and you will have to drink a 12 pack of Guinness black lager. ( Other imbibements are available upon request)

You always will be within our eternal graces for your kind offering.
