Subject: Strength of Trailer affected by length of Extruded Slats?

I'm interested in any thoughts on whether or not having Extruded Slats the full length of the box vs. just the horse compartment area would materially affect a trailer's strength? In case it matters, the trailer would be a 3H GN with a 11' shortwall and 25 foot box. I'm guessing installing and sealing a water heater, refrigerator, etc on a smooth skin surface would be much easier (in the case of slats installed at the horse compartment only), but I'm wondering if there is any sacrifice in trailer strength? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
