I have to replace the rear light at the top on the rear above the doors. The trailer is a 2005 elite mustang. Can someone tell me how to get the rubber cover off and replce the bulb. Thanks

If the light itself is bad, the whole fixture must be replaced. It's a sealed unit. Pry the light out of the rubber grommet, lube the rubber grommet and push the new fixture into place.

Now is the time to repurpose the screw driver you broke the tip off of, while trying to prise someting, when you should have been using a stout bar. If the tip is ground or sanded into a light cresent shape, it will work well to extract the light assy. By removing the sharp corners, it will allow you to easily slide the tool's tip around the inside circumference of the grommet, without piercing or damaging the rubber.
I have several of these of various sizes, made from non warrantied screwdrivers that I've ruined in the past. They work well to remove "O" rings, grommets, lights etc., without damaging the rubber materials. As Retento said, install the new light with a lubricant, sliding the light's flange into the grommet's grove with your "new" tool.

i agree with previous post - new light can be purchased online or at a truck stop - the whole thing pops out, unplugs and then you put the new one in. i have an '01 c&c and just had to replace a few of mine...
