I talked to Cowpony01 a couple of weeks ago. She is riding and enjoying herself. She does have a website, but I don't have it off hand. She and her husband and son, live up in the California Gold Country, so her surroundings are really spectacular.

The internet continues to evolve and folks continue to change how they utilize the resource. Many who used to use website such as this have gravitated to Facebook and or other social media sites.
Peoples lives contnue to change. Young kids become teenagers, teen age children grow up and become adults, Jobs change, new responsibilities. Each transition changes the amount of time an individual may or may not have to spend posting or communicating on the internet.
I've noticed many horse websites that I used to frequent are gone and the friends that I had there are now using social media like twitter or facebook. Smart phones have changed how we use website. It could probably be an interesting study of how folks change what sites they frequent or use with the changing of phone and computer technology.

Interesting info about Cowpony. I live on the eastern side of the Sierras, she on the western. We met up and rode and camped a few times and had some great rides. A little less than a year ago she up and disappeared from the internet; email, blogs, and Facebook. Nor will she return my calls. I know I'm sorta airing the dirty laundry here, but CP if you're reading this, your Nevada friends miss you and wonder why.....

I had her website or forum name where she had moved to,but,I don't remember what it was now.She used to email me privately once in a while through my regular email box.We had a "conflab" at first over her riding in the middle of nowhere alone, and needing protection, etc.Well, after getting to know her,I found out that she had PLENTY of that, not to worry. Some folks don't like to put their business out there until they get to know you a little better,I think,LOL!
I really did like that gal.I had a kick out of her pictures and Josie.I even downloaded some of those beauties on my computer and use they as part of my screensaver.I sure would like to hear from her once again, too. She was a hoot as well as an admirable true cowgirl.
