Hi y'all! I just bought a 2000 Elite with a 7 1/2 ft SW. I think it has a 2 speed manual jack & it takes "super power" strength to raise/lower it! We have greased it & everything but it is still so hard to use! I know electric jacks & hydraulic jack are so expensive & I was wondering if anyone knows of a place where I can get a used one, maybe off a wrecked trailer or something. I would maybe also be interested in a new manual jack if the other used ones are too expensive. If you have any suggestions~please let me know! Thanks a bunch!!

When we replaced ours, we got it from a place called adventurerv.net They had one for our needs, and shipped it to us quickly.4000 lb capacity, and it was easy to install. About $350 dollars.

I've been watching eBay, CL, forums...you name it, for years and have had zero luck finding a used electric or hyd jack so if you find one you'd better grab it.

Try your local if you have one Tractor Supply. They sell the Bulldog jacks rated for 12,000 lbs

"I think it has a 2 speed manual jack & it takes "super power" strength to raise/lower it!"

You need to figure out if it is a 2 speed jack, because when those 2 speed are in high gear it takes super human strength to lift much...but it does go fast if you've got the arms! When they are shifted to low gear they crank pretty easy, but it takes alot of turns to get anywhere. So when you have the jack handle attached, see if you can pull the crank, and the shaft it's attached to, towards you to shift to low gear....try then. Most 2 speed jacks are pretty big..like the one on the right.
