I was wondering if anyone has had problems with the Sundowner LQ trailers rusting through the aluminium siding? I have a 2005 Sundowner LQ trailer that is currently rusting through the side and the floor  has completely rusted through. I have called Sundowner about the problems and they told me is cosmetic only and won't cover under warranty. Was just wondering if there is anyone else out there that is experiencing the same problems...

Never heard of aluminium rusting on anything before.  Much less the aluminium floor....  I know Sundowner had some issues with the steel main frame rusting but most was do to lack of proper maintance.

I too have a 04 Sundowner trailer that has rusted through on the side where the horses buts are. They told me this was just cosmetic but my aluminum floor also has some holes in it the size of a quarter. I took pics of it and mailed them to Sundowner Trailer and because of their structural warranty for 8 years, they are going to replace the floor only.

Please post pictures!  I have NEVER seen aluminium RUST!

I have seen corrosion (white chalky powder looking stuff) or pitting caused by lack of maintance.

Technically rust results in an oxidation. In steel it's rust, in aluminum it's corrosion
