If anyone has had any experience with tandem towing I would love to hear your thoughts on whether it's workable, too much trouble, or just a bad idea to begin with.  20' gooseneck w/no back ramp and an 8-10' enclosed trailer behind it.  The weight in the 10' trailer would be about 600lbs.

I have a Chevrolet Crew Cab Dually, 35 Foot Trails West 3 horse, and I sometimes tow a 10 foot flat trailer with Quads on it, combined length 70 feet. Just dont get where you have to back up, cuz you can't.

You better check local laws. Many states don't allow tandem towing and those that do usually require the front trailer to be a 5th wheel connection.

Besides the towing law spreadsheet cited above...you need to understand the mechanics when towing doubles, the rear trailer must weigh LESS than the lead trailer...finally most states will require CDL-A and the additional endorsement T - towing doubles and triples.
