I just purchased a 07 Kiefer Built with living qtrs. The dealer offers an insurance policy that covers anything that goes wrong on the inside, i.e. refrigerator, furnace, HVAC, water pump/heater, etc. It is for 4 years and cost approx. $1,500. Although this trailer was like brand new and barely used, is it advisable to take this type of insurance and if so what should you expect to pay for this type of insurance? This is my first experience with a living quarters trailer and the components that are in them.

I would pass. Most extended warranties are a pain to work with and try as hard as possible to not pay out anything. I've had two living quarters trailers over a period of a few years each and have never paid out anything near $1500 in repairs. My advice would be to put your money in the bank and save it for a rainy day!
