I bought a new to me LQ about a year ago, great price and we love the trailer.  The last owner took good care of the trailer but wasn't as particular as I am so I have been fixing a few things up and my next project is the exterior.  The trailer has some stripes that are faded and damaged, I am trying to decided if I should take them off, replace them as is, or do something new.  The trailer is an Exiss and has a decal that is their logo (not sure what else to call it) which you can see on the door in this picture: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=31481151&l=b67080f55e&id=1125666917 and I am guessing this would be difficult and\or expensive to replace.  The trailer is 10 years old and has some fading, I plan in a good waxing this spring, so I am concerend that if I pull of the current graphics bright paint below....is this a concern?  Has anyone replaced graphics?  Any advice?

   Rebuilding a trailer ourselves, this is the same situation we were confronted with.  Removing the old graphics is fairly easy, especially if you have minor skills with a buffer and use a vynil eraser, it will leteraly just buff off the old graphic.  If shadowing is a concern, you can easily go with a graphic that is larger to cover the diference in paint or sheen on the aluminum.  If you trailer is natural aluminum, you could simply pollish it back to a brighter finish to match the area under the vynil, or just be patient and it will discolor to match the rest of the aluminum trailer.  If you decide to replace it with a large graphic, I would highly recomend using the wet method of aplication, as it will allow some movement of the graphic as u install it http://voodoo-graphics.net/install.html is an example, or you can search online for aplication procedures.  If you are doing a large on, I would also recomend doing a dry fitting first, by just tapeing the vynil (with back still on) in the area you will want to put it, and make some reference marks so you can get it back into the same position as you are permanantly installing it http://www.scootgraphics.com/vinyl%20application.htm 

As far as type, size, color, etc of graphics, there are TONS.  What I found the most easiest was to search for RV Vynil Graphics and you will find enough to consum hours of viewing.  It is also an easy way to find matching graphics for your truck / trailer.  Ebay also has a large ammount, just make sure you pay attention to size; some look big until you look at the dimmensions and realize they are only 18 INCHES long or so, lol.  If you have a Sign company in your town, most can also custom create any decal you want (We use Fast Sign localy for our other trailers) Here is a galary of some as well. http://www.featherlitegraphics.com/gallery/Horse-Commercial-Trailers__15_183.php
