Depends on year model. Look at the VIN number. IF I remember correctly what has been posted previously, LA will be steel frame and AA will be aluminum frame.

Wrong info Tresvolte. The letters AA has always stood for aluminum built Sundowners. LA designates aluminum built living quarter models.
Steel framed Sundowners were built from late '97 until the end of 07. There letter designation were VA, VB, VC, until 08 when all Sundowners became aluminum framed/skinned. Letters designated for steel framed living quarters trailers was HA, and ZA until 08.
Not to confuse you, but aluminum framed trailers have been built by Sundowner, from '89 thru present day.
Sunlite model numbers for steel framed trailers prior to 08 were 707, 727, 737, 747, 767, Stampede stocks.
Sunlite ALUMINUMS from '89 to present are 700 (stock), 710, 720, 725, 740, and 760. PRO STOCK is an aluminum stock trailer designation.
