Hey everyone - I've been lurking for awhile, so thanks for all the info i've learned to date (a lot).  Doing a DIY LQ and I am currently adding electric.  I need an assist with the 120 - How is it grounded?  Through the distro/breaker back through the shore power or generator (whichever your using)?

May be a silly question, but I have never seen anyone drive a ground stake at their generator/trailer.  I will be using a Honeywell HW2000i generator (small) and it is not mounted to the trailer.  My thought is that it shouldn't be grounded to the trailer and that I route the ground back through to the generator ground post that I have never seen people use....right?  Wouldn't it be potentially bad for the unfortunate one who touch's the trailer (aluminum) after a short if not?

All of the LQ AC circuits are seperately grounded to the trailer's body/frame. This is usually done near the power center/breaker box. The AC shore cord is also grounded to the trailer's body/frame, usually at the same location. It doesn't matter if the shore cord is pluged into a generator or shore outlet, the LQ outlets are grounded to the source.

My Generator has a screw on it that is supposed to be connected to a groud rod (as it read in the instructions) but like everyone else I have never used it.  Is this a problem?  Shore power is grounded thru a plate or ground rods at the panel.
