Greetings all. I have a bumper pull stock trailer 2002 Featherlite 16', and would like to mount a roof rack for hay and water (ideally 50 gallons). Would anyone have any good suggestions? I live in Montgomery County, PA and am guessing I would have to buy something I could find locally as shipping such a unit wouldn't be all that easy. Thanks so much I appreciate any info or help you can provide.

I got my roof rack at the local junk yard. They had several junked RVs on the lot so I just measured them until I found one that was within my trailer dimensions. Best part is it only cost me $5 because I removed it myself and hauled it away in the bed of my truck!

evallone, If the junk yard route doesn't pan out, you can always try the dealer. The dealer that I bought my first new horse trailer from has a good fab shop. The racks are sort of universal for either 7 or 8 wide trailers. Especially for the racks that go on the 7 wides, the dealers can avoid shipping. They ship the racks inside the trailers when the trailers get shipped to the dealers. My dealer usually has racks in stock. I'm currenlty in the process of having my dealer fab up a hayrack for my latest aquisition. I use my existing hayrack for both water and hay. I have the 48 gallon high country water tank. One of the things to ask about is the floor of the hayrack. Many hay racks don't have floors. I don't like this. I figure that it is an accident waiting to happen. Maybe it is personal preference, but I want a diamond plate floor. I'm sure that the hay and water tank don't care, but I do.
