I just bought a 2000 Sundowner trailer. Its an aluminum trailer but with white sides. There are faint streak marks on the white side panels from water runoff from the aluminum roof. Is there any way to get rid of these streak marks? I tried using a clay bar that I use on my trucks and it didn't really help. I want to keep the trailer looking good so I was hoping there was a way to get rid of those marks. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Hi there.I've seen some on here that use Mean Green cleaner on the streaks.I did try that,and,I either used too much elbow grease,or,the cleaner was just too strong.I had a white streak instead of a black one.
I like Streakmaster's products,but,I have Metalwax also.both are good companies with good products.After cleaning the streaks,be sure to use either one of the companies' wax over the paint to keep the streaks from being near impossible to remove in the future (because they will return,just a fact of nature.) Or use a good carnuba car wax instead.
They aren't easy to remove once there.It will take some scrubbing.Be careful what you use to scrub with,however.a soft rag with the cleaner is best.

I just bought a 1999 Featherlite which I want to clean up. I just "detailed" my 94 Trailet NYer for sale and I used a magic sponge (Mr Clean) and it really worked well. It took a lot of the streaks off, but right after I washed it, I waxed it with NuFinish right after using the magic sponge. Trailer looked great.. might work for streaks that aren't too bad. I am going to try it on my 2004 Trailet next...
So this thread is great for me, esp since I just had the Featherlite delivered Saturday!!!

Those are some great suggestions. I will look into them and see what works best. Overall the streaks are not that bad but you can see them close up. I am assuming it is safe to use any of the regular car waxes on trailers too? I've never had a nice enough trailer that I had to worry about keeping it looking good so this is all new to me LOL. Also, should it be as smooth and shiny as cars are?

I just waxed my trailer for the first time, and used Turtle wax. Worked great, but what a work out for me!Looks great, but I don't get the same shine as I do on my car. But looks nice. You will be pleased.

I just bought 3 of the many products streak master makes to clean my horse trailer. Actually tested them out on my boat this last weekend. on the bare aluminum I used the aluminum brightener. On the Paint I used the streak remover. Waxed it and the used the Ultra Sealant. Boat looks new and trailer is next.When you call there you get to talk to the Owner and will answer any question plus he guarantee's his products.
