I've read on here that Sundowner started making all their trailers "all" aluminum effective 1/1/08 - and this can be determined be the first two digits of the last digits of the VIN (ie last six may be AA1234) AA stand for aluminum whereas VA stands for half steel/aluminum.
question i have is that if LA and AA are the only designations for aluminum - why would an 09 model have a HA in the VIN? dont know the manufactured date- but wouldnt think it would be a year and half earlier.
also - what about KA? that was not on the list i had previously seen

Boy, here's one for digging up an 11 year old thread... And it still won't tell you if it is all aluminum
But- The AA & LA are old style. LA was a Living Quarters. That's what a HA is now. Today, the regular aluminum horse trailers are KB and were KA. Were the AA.
