Hello, I just bought a 1990 Featherlite horse/stock trailer and I want to clean up the alum exterior. I'll attach some pics. I live too far (350 round trip)from the truck wash place that offers acid wash. I was wondering if muratic acid would work in a water solution. I know you need to stop its acid action after you put it on, but I don't know what to use for that or the correct mix. I can apply it with a weed pressure sprayer in a car wash place, then wash it off.

Any ideas on this topic? I saw a thread on floors but not sides. I will keep the trailer inside a large garage unless I use it, so I want to clean it all up. Tomorrow I get all new wheels brakes and bearings, the wood floor is good and new mats are coming. Any help would be great.

Thanks, Terry

This is an excellent product for bare aluminum finishes:

IMO this is a great opurtunity for the streak master product.  There is no worry of running over a polished surface.  I would apply with a pump sprayer rub in with a floor brush and after it foams up, rinse it off.

The area's of plain aluminum I did last summer on my Sooner are still shinny and bright.

For plain unpolished Aluminum I think this is a good idea.
