My wonderful trail horse will be having cataract removal surgery at N.C. State University next week. Although I feel good about it all, just wondering if anyone out there has experienced this surgery with your horse...or know anyone who has?

Am sure your horse will do fine.......I haven't had a horse with cataracts but have been thru throat surgery with a horse and sinus surgery with another horse.......both were pretty serious procedures but turned out very well.  So best wishes for you and your horse.

Thanks, Rose. As we all know, these horses ARE our babies! The surgery has very good results and State is top notch. They have done a good many of these surgeries.  I am just thankful I can get this done for him...he has aways taken me everywhere and has done everything asked of him...this is the very least I can do for him.
