Would like to ask the question....Is there any way of determining who has bumper pull trailers? Then if the people who do have bumper pull trailers...would you mention the type of hitch or brand that you have? Stamped into the metal...on top...a few inches behind where the ball would be in the coupler....is a number of information strikes like the Manufacturer..model...ball size...Patent number...etc.This information could be covered with paint and hard to read but by law it is required to be posted.....in the metal versus painted on. Very hard for me to believe that no one has a bumper pull trailer.....makes more sense that it is me asking the question and no one wants to answer. Would it be more helpful if I promised to not answer anyone if they revealed the information? Ken

Just fewer of them out there. 10,161 trailers for sale on this site and 2,865 are bumper pulls. A little more than 1 in 4.

Most people can't tell you what brand their coupler is without scraping paint and looking at the stamp.

Thank you for stepping up.....explains more of what is going on in trailer theft in general. I had the thought that it would seem tough for trailer theft to double about every 3 years and no one care. Just have to get another trailer and pay a little more insurance. Insurance industry says they care but in fact it is easier to raise rates. Everyone else just rolls with the issues and is outright tough to get facts...much easier dealing with general information like your trailer was stolen...sorry to hear that. Much appreciated information Ken

If your product is mainly for BP trailers, check out the marine products crowd. Probably 95% of them use a BP trailer, and theft is a major concern. It is a wide audience, with hundreds of thousands of trailers being sold.

If anyone cares to view... www.trailerlocksonline.com you will see that I sell other locks than just for bumper pull. When my next Patent clears the U.S.Patent Office I will for sure let this forum know....It will be called DaGoose for goose neck trailers that use a 2 5/16" ball. Goose neck trailers that use a king pin..we have a model that is called DaKing. DaKing is in a class all it's own...BUT being the inventor I am sure that it is at least 2 strikes against me.The same can be said about the DaPlug which fits Lunette eyes or more commonly known as the "pintle hitch"....even though the pintle is what hooks to the lunette eye. But in general I am in many forums...anything which gets me some feedback...you know what do people have to say about whatever....I am not a sales person but I had my trailer stolen....something you never forget...Ken
