I'm trying to get in contact with someone at American Spirit manufacturing. I'm aware that they've closed their doors, but need to make contact with someone who can help me with a title error on the trailer that I bought from them earlier this year.
Sure would appreciate any leads to help get in touch with anyone from American Spirit.

Thanks, but I already tried the website. Email contact doesn't get through. It's undeliverable. Phone # is also not working. I guess I'm looking for some other way to contact either the owner or sales manager. Any information is appreciated.

Most manufactures are corporations. Corporstions must file within their given State what's called an address of service. This address of service is used for all communicatiuons to said company in the event of a lawsuit, bankruptcy filings and going out of business. So I would contact the State and see if they could help you with their address of service. Good Luck..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What exactly needs to be changed??? I think if it were something relatively simple, your dealer should be able to help or Get Ohio DMV involved...just tell them they have closed their doors and the state might just change your title if its something as simple as a typo...

Trailer came direct from manufacturer. They overlooked signing it over to us on the back of the title. I need a signature from someone at American Spirit.

Was that one of the trailers that they were selling on Ebay? Don't that kinda still make it their trailer....? Being that the title hasn't been signed... That ain't good.
Maybe you could try contacting a dealer... I would thing that there should several dealers that have some connections with someone at the factory, old owners, new owners, the Bank, etc.... http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/home/dealers.asp Looks like there's at least 20 dealers listed.... Contact Don at Dixie Horse and Mule.... I bet he's got a contact person, they may have a name and or number to call.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did contact one dealer in Indiana, but they had no information. I have the paperwork that the trailer is paid for, plus the title, but no signature on the back of the title. The title dept. won't transfer without the signature. Should have done the transfer sooner, but we didn't really need to use the trailer until recently. I had notes with contact info when we picked up the trailer in Jan, but they have been misplaced..unfortunately. I'll give Dixie H&M a try. Thanks again!

Well, it was still a good deal, just need to get the paperwork in order.
Finally called the local Clerk of Courts who is checking with the state dept. to figure out how to resolve the issue. Staying positive that the problem will soon be resolved.

Don at Dixie H&M was helpful with suggesting I call the clerk of courts in our county. I did so and explained the situation. She then called the State to find out how to proceed. I was told that as long as I have the bill of sale, I needed to take the trailer to the local BMV for an out of state inspection. Once that is done, I take that paper to the Title office and shouldn't have any problems with the transfer and registration.
I will keep all info handy in case there are any further questions to clear up. Thanks so much for the suggestions!

With the Out of State inspection done at the local BMV, we were able to complete the transfer, had the title issued, and got the plates for the trailer.
I'll keep in mind that American Spirit might be starting back up under a new name in case we need to make contact for any other reasons.
