I had already noticed my mangers were only being held on by silicone, they had rusted through on all edges. I ripped up all the silicone and will be replacing the metal of the mangers. But started taking of the chrome strips on the nose and noticed that (right where the mangers are on the outside of the nose) has rusted through to the outside.
I would like to cut out this whole section and replace.
But what is the best way to go about this?
I was planning on just cutting the exact measurements out of a sheet of metal and weld it back in...but how can I bend the metal to the natural curvature of the nose on the trailer?
Does someone sale nose caps or pieces pre-bent?
It has HUGE holes in it a pretty much from one side to the other, almost the whole length of the mangers...so repairing that is impossible.
