Can anyone tell me the best way to install a TV mount bracket in a Bison Stratus? The cabinet wall doesn't appear to be strong enough to support the weight.

Thanks much.

You will have to find a wall stud, and screw the bracket into that. Most wall paneling is not strong enough to support the fasteners used for a tv mount.

Have an 06 Alumasport.  I placed a "backer board" inside the cupboard to screw in to.  Worked great.  I think I used a scrap of 2x4

Thanks for your advice.

I'm assuming that the backer board distributeds the weight over a larger area, so more would be better here. Any rule of thumb for how large a backer board is needed?

It would be wise to know how the cabinet is built and of what materials. Some of the RV quality cabinets, have end panels that are little more than laminated chip board, glued and stapled into place. Hanging any kind of weight on this construction and subjecting it to bumps and swaying, can result in a structural failure of the cabinet.

If you determine the cabinet end can support the weight, you will want a backer board that extends to the outer perimeter of the cabinet ends. This will be the strongest part of its construction.

Would also depend on how large a TV you are using.
