I knew the day would come when I would have to pony up and buy a set of tires for my freightliner. Just looking for recommendations on where others have bought/ordered their tires. Tires are Michelin 255/80r22.5. I have priced around the Raleigh NC area and looks like its going to be around $400 a tire (yea I had to sit down for that one). Just trying to find out if anyone knows of better deals out there.

Did you get your tires on your FL? If so, where did you end up getting them from? A guy told me just the other day that he got a good deal on some just the other day from the Freightliner plant in NC. I didn't know they even sold parts there.

They are building so few trucks now, I guess they have a big stock pile of tires standing by getting a little older every day...... The clock is running on those tires in storage, I imagine you'll soon see new trucks with two year old tires on them.
I talked to a guy last week that works at a KW factory in Ohio. He said they used to build 50-60 trucks a day.... Now they may build 6 to 10 a day. He said they were working 5, 4, and 3 day weeks now.

I havent bought any yet. Still waiting on my NC income tax check to come in. Was suppose to be here over 3 weeks ago. I will have to give the freightliner plant a call to see if they have any tires they need to move.
