I no longer have my motorhome. I have been roughing it for the past 3 years but I have to admit, I've had some fun!.......I plan on having ammenities this year and I have been browsing for trailers it seems forever. I do not want payments but I figured I would have payments in order to afford a better brand of trailer. But low and behold, I came across this trailer which would be perfect for hubby, me and my daughter! Opinions please????

The motorhome has been gone for three years. It was nice once you were parked but hauling the horses with it was a pain to me. 31 foot motorhome + 16 foot trailer was not fun backing up. I have wanted a truck and gooseneck for a LONG time. This year is it and I am just a little giddy about it.
Showed trailer to hubby......He says it's too small. He want's a 10-12 foot short wall. I've stayed in a friends 8 ft. sw before. It is a little small and lacks storage space. I guess you have to weigh everything out including cost....

Just remember, don't buy more trailer than what truck you have to haul it.... Didn't you just buy a 3500 SRW? Be careful and don't get too over on your pin weight. Your payload capacity in somewhere around 3781#. Thats people, bags, groceries, firewood, fuel vessels, drinking water, the cat, dog, etc. and..... The trailer pin weight.

20-25% would be ideal. All depends on how far forward/back the trailer axles are located. Weight of the LQ, size of the fresh water tank (going to haul with it full when you leave home? Water weighs 8.333# per gallon), grey and black tank capacity's, how much stuff you're going to haul in the bed of the truck-vs- in the trailer..... You'd best weigh the truck, trailer, then with them all together on a scale that weighs each axle, then you'll know what you can/can't do before you buy the/a trailer. I would not rely to heavily on what the salesman says the trailer weighs. Had one (saleman) tell me the trailer weighed 7800#, I pull it on the scales and it's about the weight of a sleeve of Pringles tater chips shy, of 10000#!! EMPTY!
