Seems I saw an ad on here awhile back for a book re: one fellow's experiences doing his own LQ.  Has anyone bought that book, and is it helpful?  The site listed doesn't really provide many details regarding the book's contents.

Thanks,

Mike

This is a new book to the public, and we decided to start our advertising on Horse Trailer World. We will be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding the book.

Ezbuildlq, could you tell us more about your book and what it includes? Do you have hands on conversion company experience?

I had trouble getting the preview to work. But, I finally got it pulled up. The right side was cut off so I am concerned that the book wouldn't print right. Do you also sell a bound book version or is the ebook all you offer?

The book does print correctly, we have had no complaints with that. We are going to offer the book on CD within the next week or so.

Me too, looks like it will be useful to me this spring when I start my conversion. Gard will also be grateful if I get one as it will mean less questions for him.

Not a problem !!! If you ask 10 people for their opinions, generally you will receive 10 different answers. Usually there is no "best" way to do anything. The answers you will receive, are what has worked well of those you ask. Purchasing a book from a professional "authority", should go a long way to provide you with additional insight. The more you know, the better and easier your job will be.

The more you know before you start, makes it easier to plan you strategies. It is much easier to change your mind before the construction starts, than afterward. With some basic skills, your abilities will increase along with your accomplishments.

The worse case scenario, is when you're well into a job, and someone comes up to you with the "you should ovs". According to him, everything you've done is  wrong, it should have been constructed differently, and you will regret even starting the project. I've found that most of these authors have never even started a project like yours, and they have neither the knowledge or talent to be justifiably critical of your efforts. They offer no constructive criticism, only gloom. They are basically jealous of what you have and of what you've accomplished, and are the people to disregard.

Never stop learning.

I hope I was able to help a little.  Gard

I bought the CD from Ezbuildlq. It came in the mail yesterday. Although I have not had a chance to read the whole thing, I did skim over it. I found the pictures to be good quality and the book appears to have some pretty helpful info. It is a lot more informative than the crappy one I had bought off of EBAY last year for a friend that was doing a DIY weekender. I am so glad I waited for the CD because I am sure my printer would have let me down printing the Ebook. Now, we can just pop in the CD whenever we need to look something up. I think it was money well spent. We just need to finish out the walls and floor since the ceiling, AC & electric was done at the factory. This is our  run around trailer so we don't want to load it up but whatever we do to it, we want it to look nice and be done right.

I think that site is only to download the ebook.  The CD of the book that I ordered was by direct phone sale. Maybe they will post their direct # on here for everyone. I really like the CD idea better and I am very happy I waited for it. In fact, I think it will store much longer than a home printer quality booklet. They seem to always fade after time.

I was at a horse show this past weekend and saw a LQ trailer that the authors of the Ezbuildlq book had built the interior in. It was top notch craftmanship. I was very impressed. They are more than qualified to write a book of this nature. And, to think I questioned them on their "hands on experience" . In fact, they should be applauded in their willingness to share they knowledge with others.

They're not being altruistic; there is a cost and profit involved.
