Hey gang... has anyone camped at Alum Creek in Central Ohio? We are planning on going there Nov. 14-16 and we were just wondering what we had to look forward to!!

Nice trails at Alum. The ravines can be slick when wet. Some of the trails are closed now because of hunting season including the east half of Winterhawk, the south portion of Maple Glen and all of Hunter's Hollow. Suggest that you call the park office to confirm, the website is no help.

Yeah, that is what we had heard. It is suppose to rain all week next week, so I think we are going to go north instead... I guess we will have to wait till summer to go to Alum!

The riding is good, but the horse campground is not so great. It is a small field on the edge of a road. The pre-existing picket lines are too low and the cables aren't tight enough. We did enjoy the trails though.

We did end up going this summer. We loved the trails. We are pretty use to campgrounds like Alum's, so that dont bother us. We really liked it there!! Thanks for all the advice on this place though.
