Ok folks....what are your thoughts on this:

http://safetyhitch.com/product.html

It does take a while for the videos to load even on DSL. It says it can haul a trailer up to 30K #. I just don't think too many folks will be jumping on it anytime soon.

They've had full page ads in Western Horseman for several months now.  Seems like you're "dragging" the weight instead of carrying it thereby destroying the argument for GN vs. BP.

About the only good thing I can say is that you shouldn't need a weight distribution hitch! Or maybe it's for that 5 1/2 foot short box?

I had a friend in TX tell me about it a couple months back. She said it was the neatest thing since sliced bread. She went on about how the LQ bedroom could have several more feet in height using this gizmo.I came across the ad in the NRHA Reiner this month and decided to check it out. After watching the videos, I think I prefer to keep things just as they are. Climbing into the bed in the LQ is alot easier than climbing up the side of a mountain if it decided not to "follow" the truck as designed.

I love how they show what you save not needing a duelly or this or that, but I didn't see how much it costs. Neat idea, basically he took from the design of the hookups semis use for pulling more then one trailer. Whether it's necessary or worth the price, that's going to be up to who ever might buy it.

my biggest complaint about it is that it looks like it uses 3 solid attachment points that would prevent it from turning behind the truck (some one earlier mentioned a HDT dolly and they pivot) to me it seems like you would generate a lot of force on those if you were making a lot of tight turns, ie getting through a grocery store parking lot. that would make me nervious.the only advantage i can think of to this thing is that you could tow a gn trailer without a pickup.i have no clue who whould buy one... but maybe i am just not a visionary
