We just got our dream trailer last year. 2013 3horse, 10 ft. living qtrs. 6 ft. slide out and 8 ft. wide. We're loving it. Love the fridge with freezer, drawers in kitchen, ducted furnace, loading lights for horses, power jack(a must),full bath. Wish it had slide out saddle rack. Might have wanted conventional oven. All in all we're very happy with it. And it's PAID FOR!!!! Talking about a generator. Happy Trails Everyone!!!!

ShariLove your excitement about your trailer! Having what you need to fit what you do makes it so much more fun. My favorite thing about my trailer is having lots of storage and of course getting out to use it!

I bought an empty shell and built my own living quarters. Installed everything I wanted and nothing I didn't. It's paid for, and the rv insurance is super cheap. It is not so expensive that I am afraid to take it into the back country.

Favorite is that it is paid for and it is 4" extra tall and the nose is dropped 3". That extra 7" in the nose is really, really, nice.
Least favorite is I would have gotten 17.5 tires, 8500 lb axles and a 2nd spare tire carrier.

We just sold our little trailer and ordered a bigger one with lots of amenities compared to the one we sold. It won't be ready till late March or early April. We are from IL, too, and wonder if we've been at some of the same campgrounds as you've ridden. We've actually traveled out west, but I ride in MO and IN a lot, too.

We are in our trailer almost 150 nights a year and WE LOVE how it handles behind our 3500 Dodge trucks. LOVE the Outlaw interior, LOVE the quality of the Platinum trailer. The Warranty from both Outlaw and Platinum is also in the LOVE column. I had to claim 4 issues (all of the part failures were broke by me) and those parts were sent free of charge directly to me. This is stellar coverage in my opinion. In the not so much love would be I should have ordered the 17" upgrade tires wheels and axles. There are times the length is a bit difficult in tight spaces.

We went from a 6.9 foot wide 7 short wall to a 11 short wall 8 wide. Like all the extra room and large fridge. Sometimes a little harder to get around with.

You asked about favorite and least favorite things. I'll give you my thoughts. First off, as one other person said, the Platinum trailer and Outlaw conversion is a combination that is hard to beat. Quality and customer service at the top. We used to own one but it was too big so we looked for another trailer. We had a budget, as most do, and just couldn't afford a new Platinum/Outlaw with slide. We ended up with a Logan, 3 horse, 12 foot LQ with a custom interior from Logan. It is actually a very nice trailer but it doesn't have the top quality as the P/O. I absolutely, positively, LOVE the slide. It does make a huge difference. The floorplan on the Logan has a "walk-in" closet and I love the big bathroom. With our first trailer we "had to" have a walk through door to the horse area but after traveling cross country for 11 weeks we realized that we hardly ever used the walk through. So with the Logan, we have this wonderful, big bathroom with so much storage we have empty spaces. One thing I don't like, that our new trailer has, is the private, over head bedroom that has a sliding door. Because Logan isn't Outlaw, they didn't put any heating ducts in the bedroom so it gets very cold while the rest of the trailer stays warm. One nice thing that Logan did was put extra storage doors on the horse side of the slant wall. Overall this trailer has so much storage all over that we literally have multiple empty cabinets that we haven't filled up. I also really like the pod on the roof. We keep all our hay in there and I don't have to deal with hay bags and mess. Generator on the roof is a must in my opinion.

Sundowner Charter SE 2 bumper pull straight load with rear ramp and side ramp. I just got it this year and it is new. My favorite thing about the trailer is the side ramp. It gives me a big escape route if I need it when loading and unloading the horses and it lets in a ton of light! the horses don't feel like they are getting into a cave. It's warm blood size so extra roomy.

We went from a three horse slant with 4 ft dressing room to a 15 foot short wall with slide. LOVE the slide. Gives us so much room. I love the hay rack and ramp. We also put a memory foam mattress in the goose neck. Sleep like I am at home. Too many things to list as our 'favorite". Just very blessed to have a LQ horse trailer.

Going from a 4' SW to an 11' SW and slide. On order, and hope I like it. Trailer I just sold had a shower, microwave and small sink but used a porta potty. Thinking I will like the room and much larger LQ. Yee Haw

Have a 2012 Bison Trail Express 8 wide 8 shortwall 3 horse w slide. Love everything but the smaller fridge we have. I honestly don't know why everyone beats up on Bison. This thing is nice. Some of my friends have the 60 and 80k dollar trailers and they all say they wish they had not gotten carried away buying a trailer. They are nice though.
