Depends on how wide a box you want.  Lots of 18-24" under bed boxes at any truck supply.

But what you might consider are the tool boxes that fit inside a pickup bed. They make this that take the same space as the wheel wells intrude into the bed. So probably something like 10-12". Often they have the curve to feet over the wheel well. So you could tuck them up tight to your fender.

They would just easily bolt to your framing members on the trailer.

This is just one idea

Is that a bumper pull or gooseneck trailer... 7' wide doesn't leave alot of room for any type of box along the sides, 6" wide/deep, maybe, unless it's mounted on the tongue or under the gooseneck... Below is a box that mounts to BP trailer tongue, if you got room.

http://www.etrailer.com/Toolbox/DeeZee/DZ91717.html?feed=npn&gclid=CKDkw5jo7bQCFQSqnQodyz4A8A

You could probably have local machine shop build a custom box to fit on top of running board/trailer fenders....

It is a gooseneck trailer and thanks for all the ideas I measured it and I can have it 10 inches wide 28 inches high and 60 inches long Cant find anything for sale like that so will have to get it fabricated but the delta wheel well mount is looking good for the entry side of the trailer

Remember if you put one of these boxes on only one side of your trailer you will feel a push toward the opposite side...

If you mount the delta box flush on the trailer, you won't be able to open the top, the top hinges up and towards the trailer to open.

I will see if this can post before I loose connection.

I build a nice side mount box that lays down to make a table, using Alum, locking handle, full length hinge, and chains to make it a table.  We can build it to any size you need to fit.   The last one for example was 10.5" deep, 32" high, and 72" long, it held to folding chairs, a small BBQ, ground cover, small folding table, step, extra BBQ propane, and still had room to spare. Everything she needed to set up camp, under the awning, with a nice big out of the way table.  It's not cheep though that one cost about $900, but she said I will never stuff all that junk in the back of the truck, and it will always be packed and ready to go.

The post of the trailer handling different????? the weight of the box and all the stuff was only about 150lbs, that on horse taking about 1/2 step back in the trailer, you will not feel any change, way less than adding an upright tank of water on one side.  I build a great add on stall that add about 300 lbs and you never feel it.

Happy riding.

I reread it, and your most likely right.  But cat see it doing much in wind drag.  Thanks

The box that Tina Mae Weber designed is pretty neat, but they're so darn expensive, the average person cannot afford one.

The only box I found that wasn't too wide was made by BetterBuilt. It's 18x18 but it's only 8" wide so it would fit on the side of the trailer without it being too wide. I don't have pics handy but I mounted it spaced away from the trailer at the top so the lid doesn't scrape the trailer when it's opened. I can't tell it's there going down the road so I don't think wind resistance is a real issue unless you need a bigger truck.

They are neat but who can afford those? Only people who have money to burn.

basic prices for boxes
60" X 22" X 8" $675.00
48" X 22" X 8" $585.00
36" X 22" X 8" $462.00

This is just for the storage boxes, NOT the chuck box. Can't imagine what those run! WAY too rich for my blood.

You could build one out of plywood, cover it in fiberglass and paint it to match the trailer for ~$125

That's one option. The other option is to hire a person with an aluminum welder and have them build one.

Initially I thought Tina's boxes seemed pricey BUT after doing some looking around and getting prices from other manufacturers, they seem to be priced just right and they are designed very well. I think I'm going to buy one of her boxes from Alum-Line!
