I did not pimp out the inside but I did manage to put some camo "film" on the LQ door and a larger piece on the other side of trailer and on both manger doors. Yes...you might be a redneck if you have camo on your horse trailer. BAHAHAHAHAHA

With the economy in dire straits, there have been several stolen trailers in our area. Many trailers look the same and often times trailers of the same manufacturer will have identical graphics. This makes the searching and identification of finding a pinched trailer difficult. One owner passed his own trailer on his way home, and didn't recognise that it was being stolen. Many trailers have no graphics, and if of similar size, are initially difficult to distinguish from one another.
Adding or changing some of the exterior graphics is not difficult and is farily easy to effect. You can buy many variations on line, most being quite reasonable in pricing.
You can enhance the looks of your trailer and make identification much easier to spot, if necessary. Once they are installed, photos of your trailer will make future identification much easier. True they can be removed over time, but until they are, you may have a better initial chance of recovery. Once they have been installed for a time, they will leave indelible marks on the aluminum or painted skin. Only by repainting or installing newer, larger graphics, can these marks be covered.

Gard makes a very good point about special and different graphics to make your trailer more identifiable by law enforcement in case of theft. Speaking of theft; it is surprising the number of trailers that sit at boarding barns, alongside a remote barn or shed, etc. WITHOUT ANY KIND OF HITCH LOCKS. We actually place hitchlocks on our trailers at our dealerships that are behind a cyclene fence.
These aren't that expensive and go on the coupler, and there are locks that go on the set screws for the neck also, so that the locked coupler cannot be removed and the thiefs coupler put in place of the one removed. We have even had the locks smashed with a sledgehammer, and fortunately the thief still couldn't get them off. So when your thinking of things to buy and put on your trailer(s), make HITCH LOCKS one of the items to purchase.

I have a hitchlock for my trailer. It is parked right next to the house under the carport. I always put it on when we are leaving. Pretty cheap insurance. I know if they really want it they could probably find a way, but at least it slows them down. It just amazes me how many people at horse shows, etc., unhook in parking lots and leave without anything on the trailers to keep them from being stolen.

I have added several pix inside mine..personal touches...framed a beautiful card a friend gave me, framed a few pix that are very special and have special meaning...color coordinated the towels, bedding etc. there are a few other things I would like to do but that will come in time and with finances are 'fuller"
As far as identifying a stolen trailer I have a suggestion that was passed down to me by a friend...they painted the top of the trailer with their ranch name, brand..etc. big bold letters...who looks at the top of a trailer ??..unless there is a hay rack on top...but it is easily identified by air ( helocopters, planes, overpasses)

When we bought our new trailer I couldn't wait to go shopping for stuff. I bought new dishes, new towels, new sheets and comforter. We had our brand made into vinyl stickers and put them on the outside of the trailer as well as a few places inside. I had an absolute blast, I hope you do too.

When we unhook at a horse show I always make sure I put my trailer next to a trailer that is much nicer than mine that way if they decide to steal one it will be the one next to me and not mine ;)

this whole forum subject was about what and how people pimp out the inside of the LQ.not so much the out side
Actually, your question was "Am I nuts or wha(t)?" Perhaps stepping back and being a little more polite to people who are very helpful would get a better answer to that question.

When we had our trailer built we had them just put cheap knobs on all of the cabinetry. Then we ordered really cute knobs in all different styles. We have horses, moose, a cabin, pinecone, hoof prints of all sorts, bear, deer, ducks, etc. It really makes the interior unique. My hubby purchased a bedding set from Sportsman's Guide for a really good price with Elk on it (even got our friends a cover/pillow shams for their trailer for Christmas). He is also a hunter and said not everything should be a horse (I disagree but I like to keep peace :) ). I got some cute rugs called Jellybean Rugs. They have lots of cute designs, can be used indoors or outdoors and wash up brilliantly. One has horses and the other has some cute bears and says welcome. I added a coat hook that has about 5 hooks and some running horses. Rather than making holes in the wall I bought the 3M Velcro strips.. These come off of the wall just like the hooks and hold very well. I hang jackets, hats, etc to get them off of the floor. We have a slide and it gives a good open wall for it. I plan to hang pictures in a similar manner. I found that cute towels don't work so well as they get used and then trown in the dirty clothes but a cute hand towel is functional and doesn't need to be tossed in the laundry as fast. I have a few so a dirty one can be replaced with something else that is cute. I have some cute signs that I can hang on the side of the trailer when camping. I use suction cups on the flat part of the aluminum and it holds the signs just fine and is easy and fast to remove and doesn't take up much space.
